Hello, my name is Dr. Luis Vinas, M.D., F.A.C.S., a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, and named “Best of South Florida 2009: Plastic Surgeon.” I have been called the “Breast Man of Florida” as well.If you are considering breast enhancement, you should take a few minutes to read this. These few minutes could change your life—and give you the perfect natural looking breasts that you want. Most women do not realize that the future of breast enhancement is here right now, available today. No more scarring, no more asymmetrical look, no more painful and long recovery. But you have to find a plastic surgeon that is schooled in modern plastic surgery and is using the most advanced techniques available today. With my minimally invasive Ultra V breast enhancement surgeries, you will have ultra-natural, ultra-beautiful breasts with no general anesthesia, very little if any post surgical pain, and the shortest recovery time in the beauty industry.
I am an expert at breast enhancements, whether you are looking for breast augmentation, removal and replacement of troublesome and ill-shaped implants, breast lift, or breast reduction and lift. I have done thousands of
breast surgeries, and have won awards for my expertise. South Florida is a highly competitive market, so you can understand the level of expertise that is needed to achieve this level of recognition. Simply put, here is what I am saying to you: Your breasts will be transformed into a totally natural looking, beautiful part of your body that you will enjoy seeing in the mirror, and that others will enjoy seeing as well.
Before I go on, I want to say to you that if you decide to have another Plastic Surgeon do your breasts, please make sure that he is Board Certified and is up to date on the incredible advances in breast enhancement. Get the best Plastic Surgeon that you can! Below are a few points about breast enhancement. Although I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, I have tried to write them as simply as possible, and stayed away from medical jargon. Do not hesitate to email us or call the number at the bottom if you have questions or cannot understand something that I have written. My staff or I will be happy to answer your questions.
1. Should I get silicone or saline implants?
For the most natural look and feel, Memory Gel silicone implants manufactured by Mentor are the best. They provide the most genuine looking results when you look in the mirror or are nude. They enlarge the breasts, allowing the natural sway and movement of breasts.Saline implants generally provide rounder looking breasts which can result in maximum cleavage when wearing a dress or sexy bra.Personally, I prefer Memory Gel implants. Although they cost several hundred dollars more, the resulting look, particularly in all forms of the entertainment industry, more than makes up for the added initial expense.
2. Saline versus Silicone implants—Are They Both Safe?
The silicone scare is over. Today’s silicone is safe, and in fact is used in over half of current breast augmentations.
3. I’ve heard that Breast Enhancement is Painful?
The kind of pain that women used to experience after breast enhancement should no longer affect you—it is thing of the past if your surgeon has the modern pain devices available in today’s world. The most advanced technique for dealing with post surgical pain, is the “pain pump.” I use it in my practice. The pain pump is a small stretched elastic ball with a very small tube inserted into your chest area. The elastic ball is taped to your body and pushes a continually flow of pain medication to your chest. Patients report that they were virtually pain free, and if there is pain, it is minimal. The pain pump is used for as long as you need it.
4. Breast Augmentation-
Make Sure You Get Implants Under the Muscle. This is very important to achieve natural looking breasts, rather than the in-your-face “half melon” look that some of your girlfriends might have. As always, talk to your surgeon about this.
5. My breast Augmentation Needs Fixing—my breasts are hard and/or rippled.
The hardness is caused by scar tissue, perhaps a build up of scar tissue surrounding the implant. Sometimes this can also cause pain. I would need to examine you to isolate your specific issue, but generally, releasing the scar tissue and replacing your implants with Memory Gel implants should end the problem. Patients with additional problems, including extensive capsule contracture (scar tissue) or asymmetry need a more in depth consultation and examination. These initial consultations can be done via email, and then you can have a full examination when you visit my offices. My center’s email address is at the bottom.
6. What will my breasts look like after breast lift and/or reduction?
If you need a lift or reduction and are worried about how your breasts will look afterwards—for example, scarring or ending up with small breasts, keep reading. The science of breast beauty has ended these concerns.
There are two types of breast lifts. 1) I use what is called the lollipop procedure for most breast lifts. Pretend your areola is the top of the lollipop and draw a thin line down to the bottom of your breast. You have created a lollipop—and this is the technique that provides the least scarring and most natural looking breasts when a full lift is required. There is no horizontal scar, no scar visible in a bra or low cut dress. And the surgical line is thin and diminishes with time as well. 2) The second type is what is called a peri-lift. This can be good for smaller lifts. The lift is done through the areola solely—the scar is therefore concealed in the coloring of the areola. This is the most minimal surgical technique of breast lift and might work for you. In a lift/reduction procedure, your own tissue is suspended upwards and some of your lower breast skin is removed. This results in a lifted full natural breast. If needed, the areola can also be moved upwards—with no visible scar because the scar is concealed in the coloring of the areola.Sometimes with breast reductions there are other techniques used, but always, always, the goal is to do minimally invasive procedures with the least amount of scarring possible. Also, I use the Harmonic® Wand when a reduction and/or lift is needed. This “cool scalpel” causes way less trauma and bruising than traditional scalpels, and allows you to heal in just days. It is the scalpel of the future. Unfortunately, only eight doctors in America are certified in its use—I am proud to be one of them.
